Taiwan Cherry Blossom 2024: Explore Nature Beauty in Flower Clock at Yangmingshan National Park

Hello everyone, welcome to Taipei, Taiwan! This is a very special time of year here in Taiwan because we've arrived right in the middle of cherry blossom season. I've always wanted to see cherry blossoms in this part of the world, so we headed to an area called Yangmingshan.

From Taipei to Yangmingshan

Yangmingshan is located about an hour's drive north of Taipei, and there are plenty of bus routes and other facilities to take you there. We've just arrived at the bus stop, and in a few minutes, we'll be there.
How cool is that? Many buses will take you to this final stop, where there's a well-maintained network of pedestrian paths that allow you to explore the entire national park. The surroundings are filled with cherry blossoms, so let's go take a look.

Get to Yangming Park

As we step out of the bus terminal, we find ourselves on Huashan Road. On both sides of the road, there are cherry blossoms and various flowering plants—it's truly beautiful. I'm thrilled to be here because I've wanted to see cherry blossoms for years. However, the window to see them in full bloom is limited, typically around February to March in Taiwan. If you're lucky, you might catch them from January to April, but February and March are the prime months. Keep in mind that this timing can vary depending on your location, so it may differ in other countries. But now is the perfect time for us to witness this natural spectacle, and we're fortunate to be here at the right moment.

There's even a waterfall (Traditional Chinese:白絲瀑布) here, and I'm considering wearing a hat—I might even pick up a duck-shaped hat clip!

If you continue along the pedestrian path, you'll eventually reach the headquarters of the national park. There's another fantastic cherry blossom viewing area there, so let's go check it out.

The Beauty of Yangmingshan

This place is incredibly beautiful. I love that there are various types of flowers here, not just cherry blossoms. The backdrop of the mountains adds to the charm, and everyone seems to be in high spirits. The weather is also perfect—literally the kind of weather you'd wish for during a hiking trip. Yes, it's fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

Take a look at these shrubs—many of them are even more vibrant than a Monet painting. Yes, I've seen my fair share of flowers, but the way they spread out like wild blooms here and there is simply stunning. Where should we head next?

If you glance up toward the mountainside, you'll occasionally see patches of cherry blossoms, like little pink patches scattered around. Wow, I really appreciate the fusion of nature and Taiwan. As we continue our walk, we encounter a beautiful waterfall—it's truly cool. Taiwan is so lush and green.

I think they're also incredibly pretty. Everyone loves those beautiful pink flowers, but it's also a great reflection of the natural beauty around us.

Flower Clock and the Park

Finally, we've reached the Flower Clock. The surrounding area is equally enchanting—cherry blossom trees dot the mountainside, and the shrubs are filled with azaleas and other flowers I've never seen before. The water features are also picturesque. There's so much to see.

Outside the Flower Clock area, there's a bus stop. We'll need to explore other attractions, perhaps even visit a volcano or something. The atmosphere here is delightful. It's a bit chilly, but I hope we have more time to explore. The bus ride back is only half an hour, so we can come back anytime.
